Accountability Objective
Our dishwashers play a critical role in the health, safety, and well-being of our residents by ensuring our infection and sanitation control measures are maintained in the back of the house. Under the direction of the Dining Services Manager or designate, our Dishwashers follow established policies and procedures and assume responsibility for cleanliness of the dietary areas including ware-washing, pot washing, and sanitation of the department.
Background / Qualifications
Minimum of grade 12 education required. Minimum 1 year’s experience in a dishwashing position is preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language. Dependable, responsible and an ability to work well with others in a team environment and independently.
Key Responsibilities
Participates in and adheres to continuous quality improvement standards. Cleans dishes, pots, glassware, and cutlery following established sanitation procedures. Monitors and records the temperature of the dish machine at least twice daily. Reports all deficiencies to the Dining Services Manager or designate. Ensures correct usage of chemicals in dish machine and pot washing areas.
