About the Position
As a Short Haul Truck Driver at Majha Wala Transportation Inc., you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods over short distances. You will operate commercial vehicles and play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients’ freight is delivered with care and professionalism.

- Salary: $23.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 40 to 50 hours per week

Key Responsibilities
- Driving: Operate and drive a variety of commercial vehicles, typically covering short distances, following a predetermined route.
- Load and Unload: Safely load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, ensuring secure cargo and compliance with weight regulations.
- Safety: Follow all safety regulations and procedures, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, and report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients and company personnel.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, such as trip logs, delivery receipts, and bills of lading, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Compliance: Adhere to transportation and traffic laws, as well as company policies and procedures, including hours-of-service regulations.
- Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with dispatch, reporting any delays, accidents, or other issues.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with the necessary endorsements.
- Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in a short haul capacity.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and transportation laws.
- Physical fitness to perform loading and unloading tasks.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
