We currently have an opening for the position of Senior Buyer in Nigeria.
Mission:
The main objective of this role is to carry out all necessary activities for purchasing goods and/or services/subcontracts, ensuring compliance with cost, time, and quality requirements, as well as corporate/company policies.
Tasks:
– Issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors based on purchasing requests.
– Provide support and maintain confidentiality while assisting vendors in preparing technical and commercial proposals.
– Close the bid process by receiving purchase/subcontract confirmation from the selected vendor and informing unsuccessful vendors.
– Follow up and negotiate purchase order/subcontract revisions when needed.
– Perform assigned activities in accordance with procedures, systems, and tools provided.
– Review and comment on technical documentation received with the Purchase Requisition and Technical Evaluation.
– Manage contractual documentation before it is archived centrally.
– Prepare commercial/economic bid tabulations to compare proposals and suggest actions to improve bid results or select a vendor.
– Lead commercial/economic negotiations.
– Prepare purchase orders/subcontracts based on standard General Purchase Terms and Conditions and Project Special Purchase Conditions.
