NDLEA Salary Structure for Graduates, NDLEA Training Allowance & NDLEA Ranks 2023

The integrated compensation system used by all paramilitary organizations in Nigeria serves as the rigorous foundation for NDLEA ranks and salary structures. The recruitment level and the credentials that the staff members provided when they joined the agency determine a raise in rank and income.

The level to which you are assigned after entering the agency determines your pay at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency. Level 8 is reserved for people who joined the service with a bachelor’s degree, whereas Level 7 is given to those with an HND. Employees at Level 8 typically have higher ranks and wages, whereas those at Level 7 typically have lower salaries and rankings. The same holds true for individuals who joined the organization with ND and SSSC.

NDLEA Ranks

The Consolidated Paramilitary Salary System (COMPASS) is the compensation structure and ranks used by NDLEA. The agency makes sure that staff members receive promotions as and when they are due since they believe that doing so will help the officers feel more motivated to carry out their duties. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency of Nigeria offers the following ranks:

NDLEA Commissioned Officers Ranks

These are the agency’s senior officers, who are chosen after carefully taking into account their academic credentials. The Deputy Superintendent of Narcotics and the Commander General of Narcotics are the first two ranks below the commissioned officers of the NDLEA.

The Commander General of Drugs, who holds the highest position, is mostly chosen by the President. Every commissioned officer in the NDLEA aspires to reach the top position inside the organization.

Non-Commissioned NDLEA Officers’ Ranks

These are the lowest ranks of the NDLEA, and during recruitment, the officer’s qualifications are also taken into account. With WAEC, ND, and HND, some of the officers in this category of rank joined NDLEA. The ranks listed under the NDLEA’s non-commissioned officer category are as follows:

NDLEA Salary Structure

As we have pointed out, NDLEA is one of the paramilitary agencies in Nigeria. The NDLEA’s pay scale is included in the overall operations that pertain to all paramilitary organizations in the nation. The Consolidated Paramilitary Pay Structure governs the pay scales for all paramilitary organizations in the nation (CONPASS).

And take note that the Police Paramilitary Pay Structure, not this body, regulates the police force, the only paramilitary.

The lowest-paid officer in NDLEA ought to be in CONPASS 1 STEP 1. As we go along, we’ll describe every level of the CONPASS, their monthly pay scales, and their annual pay scales.

NDLEA Monthly & Annual Salary Scale According to CONPASS

According to the CONPASS grading system, the following is the monthly wage for NDLEA officers:

NDLEA Allowance

1. Health Insurance

The National Health Insurance Program covers the officers of the NDLEA as well as their families.

2. Traveling Allowance

The senior agency officers are mostly eligible for this reward. Every time they are on official duty outside the state where they are assigned, they are entitled to a travel allowance.

3. Housing Allowance

Officers of the NDLEA are entitled to accommodations at their assigned location. When there is no suitable housing, they receive a housing stipend to cover their living expenses.
