Job Opening: Forklift Operator/Order Picker
Location: 7885 Howard Avenue, Amherstburg, ON
Shift: Morning, Night, Overnight
Wage: $20.00 per hour
Santerra Stonecraft is looking for a skilled forklift operator to join our team at our location in Amherstburg, ON. As a forklift operator, you will be responsible for various tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, moving, and storing different products and materials. The ideal candidate should have a valid forklift license, a driver’s license, and at least 2 years of experience operating a forklift.
The responsibilities of the forklift operator include loading and unloading products, participating in production and maintenance activities, and communicating any quality issues to the relevant personnel. The candidate should be able to work independently or as part of a team, lift up to 50lbs, and have good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, sort, check, move, wrap, package, store and/or pile different products, material, raw material (pallets, skids, plates, blocks, bricks, stone, and pavers)
- Participate in production as requested
- Participate in preventive maintenance of equipment or products change as requested
- Communicate any quality, abnormalities, or faulty situations to competent persons
Qualifications:
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs
- Ability to work as a team or independently
- Valid Forklift License
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Minimum 2 years of Forklift experience
- Self-motivated, good communicator, dependable
