FG Releases More Empowerment Programs

The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Dr Betta Edu has reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to lifting Nigerians out of poverty in 2024 by flagging off many more social intervention schemes.

HM Dr. Betta Edu disclosed in her first day as she resumed Office this year 2024 that in the coming weeks, the federal government, through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, will flag off many more social intervention schemes including the End Hunger and Code Nigeria program, Grow Nigeria, and revitalize most programs under the ministry and its agencies. All these are geared towards giving vulnerable Nigerians a new lease of life.

Renewed Commitment

The Minister said this Tuesday 2nd January 2024, when she resumed in her office following her visit to Plateau State to provide humanitarian relief materials to persons affected by the Plateau Massacre on Christmas Eve.

Throughout December, the Ministry achieved milestones such as the completion of ground clearing and grading of 10 hectares for the building of 40 houses and boreholes installations as part of the Renewed Hope Shelter for Poor and IDPs project.

Today, on January 2nd, 2024, the Ministry is back in office working to deliver on its mandate to pull 50 million Nigerians out of poverty within 42 months.

The Minister assured Nigerians that she and her team will continue to work round the clock to meet 100 percent, of the mandate given to the Ministry by the President.
