ICRC Recruitment 2023/2024: Movement Cooperation Specialist 1 in Abuja, Nigeria
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is welcoming applications for the position of Movement Cooperation Specialist 1 in Abuja, Nigeria. As a Movement Cooperation Specialist 1, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the ICRC’s objectives for cooperation with the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. You will work closely with the Nigerian Red Cross Society to enhance the operational partnership between the two organizations.
Roles and Responsibilities of Movement Cooperation Specialist 1
- Analyze and summarize information relevant to the operational partnership between the ICRC and the NRCS
- Identify gaps in capacity in the field and propose solutions
- Develop the partnership skills of ICRC operational department and NRCS counterparts
- Ensure that all operational staff within the ICRC are aware of the Movement’s activities in the country
- Advise ICRC departments on their approaches and work attitude towards their NRCS counterparts
Qualifications Criteria
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
• 6 to 9 years of work experience in a field relevant to Movement Cooperation
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Movement Cooperation Officer or international work experience with the ICRC or any other Movement components
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills
• Knowledge of another ICRC language is an advantage
