Position Details:
Job Title: Community Health Worker
Location: Island Health Parksville, BC
Shift: Morning, Night, Overnight
Wage: $27.92–$29.60 an hour

The Community Health Worker, as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, offers personal care assistance to clients and their caregivers to promote independence at home. This includes aiding with daily activities and assigned tasks based on care plans.
Occasional travel may be required for this role, with transportation arrangements meeting the operational needs of the Vancouver Island Health Authority. A valid BC Driver’s License may be necessary.
Qualifications:
Education, Training And Experience: Home Support/Resident Care Attendant/Health Care Assistant Certificate from a recognized post-secondary program; or equivalent relevant experience. A Food Safe Certificate and valid BC driver’s license are required.
Registration in good standing with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry is necessary.

- Organizational skills.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary residents of Canada.
