JAMB Admission Status Checker 2024 – Check Jamb Admission Status with Registration Number, SMS

Curious to find out if JAMB has granted you admission to your desired higher institution? The JAMB Admission Status/List checking portal is the only way to know. You can easily check your admission status with JAMB for 2024 and previous years by following the steps below.

If you applied for admission through Direct Entry or UTME for 2024 or previous years, you can now access your JAMB Admission Status. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made the site available for applicants to verify their admission status, and the best part is that it is completely free to use.

JAMB Admission Status Checker: Steps to Check 2024 JAMB Admission Status

To monitor your admission status, you need to register a JAMB account if you haven’t already (especially for applicants who applied in 2016 or later). Follow these five easy steps to check your admission status on the JAMB Admission List page:

  • Visit the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) E-facility portal at portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility as the first step.
  • Enter your login credentials to access your Jamb profile.
  • After successfully logging in, navigate to the “Check Admission Status” tab and select it.
  • Select the exam year and enter your registration number in the specified fields.
  • Click the “Check Admission Status” or “Access My CAPS” buttons to view your JAMB admission status.

What Should You Do If Your JAMB Admission Status Is ‘Not Yet Admitted’?

If your JAMB admission status is still showing as ‘Not Yet Admitted,’ here’s what you can do:

1. Confirm the Upload of Your O’level Results

Check if your O’level results have been uploaded to the JAMB system, as this can impact your admission status. Follow the steps to access your JAMB profile and verify the submission of your O’level results.

2. Check for Transfer Recommendations

Institutions have the authority to consider transferring candidates from one program to another based on UTME and O’level combinations. Follow the instructions provided to check if you have been recommended for transfer and decide whether to accept or reject it.

3. Upload O’Level Results for Candidates Waiting for JAMB UTME Results

Candidates who selected ‘awaiting result’ during registration must upload their O’Level results to the JAMB portal for their preferred institution to process their admission. Direct-entry candidates should also upload their A’level and O’level results to avoid disqualification.
