With a focus on local community and culture, we offer a unique dining experience with made-to-order cafe and lunch offerings during the day, shareable international-inspired plates in the evening, and a curated wine and cocktail program.
Combine Cafe & Bar is looking for a Dishwasher to report directly to the Head Chef. The Dishwasher will play an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the back of house operations. Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Dishwasher at Combine Cafe & Bar is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment, ensuring the highest level of hygiene and food safety standards are met.
A qualified candidate should have previous experience washing dishes in a restaurant or commercial setting, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to maintain professionalism, control and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
Physical stamina, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to follow instructions accurately are also important for success in this role.
Qualifications and Skills
While formal education or specific certifications may not be required for the role of a dishwasher, the position generally offers on-the-job training. Having a high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred by employers, and obtaining a food handler certification can also be beneficial for enhancing job prospects.
Completing a culinary or hospitality program, although not specifically required for a dishwasher role, can also provide a strong foundation of knowledge and skills in the food service industry.
