Statement from NYSC Management:
RE: Payment Of June Monthly Allowance To Corps Members
The Management of National Youth Service Corps wants to assure Corps Members that it is aware of the concerns and frustrations regarding the delay in the payment of their June 2023 monthly allowance.
For your information, all necessary arrangements for the payment of Corps Members’ allowance were completed on the 27th of June, 2023. The funds were remitted to the respective banks on the same day. However, the delay is due to the banks’ administration of the funds, as they are yet to credit Corps Members’ accounts.
In light of this, NYSC Management is actively working with the banks to expedite the payment of Corps Members’ June allowance without any further delay.
All Corps Members are advised to remain calm, follow the rules, and fulfill their duties at their respective national service locations. The NYSC Scheme will continue to prioritize matters concerning the welfare of Corps Members.
This update is in response to reports that NYSC has not yet paid the monthly stipend for June to corps members serving across the country.
